Over thirteen years ago the agile manifesto was created. Which is summarized in these four statements (from the afore mentioned page):
- Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
- Working software over comprehensive documentation
- Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
- Responding to change over following a plan
It is also explicitly stated that the points on the right are still considered valuable. Now what does this suggest about the situation from which this manifesto was created?
A cynic might say, the same situation we’re in living today and point you to the half-arsed agile manifesto.
